Tootsie Pop - How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?

Remember the famous 1970’s commercial with the curious little boy and Mr. Owl, the wise?  “Mr. Owl, how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? . . . The world may never know.”

So, how many loads does it take to get to the bottom of a Laundry Detergent Bucket?

It’s a simple question and a question math can easily solve.  Based on our research, our answer is below:

Products

Size

Usage
*Suggested minimum use for a load size of < 8lbs. of lightly soiled laundry*

# of loads

Liquids:
Blue Laundry Detergent

Green Laundry Detergent
Free & Gentle Laundry Detergent

Pink Fabric Softener

Blue Fabric Softener

5 gal bucket
(640 fl. oz.)

1.5 fl. oz.

426 loads

2.5 gal bucket
(320 fl. oz.)

1.5 fl. oz.

213 loads

Powder:
OxyHelp Stain Remover

17 lbs. pail

0.5 oz.

544 loads

2.5 lbs. container

0.5 oz.

80 loads

However, depending on the size of the load, the type of soil, and the amount of soil in your laundry, one may need to use more or less detergent than the suggested dosage.  Along with these factors, it also depends on an individual’s preference.  By habit, some will use more while others will use less than the recommended dosage.

Like other laundry detergent brands, LOADS recommends using more detergent than the suggested minimum dosage for large load sizes or heavily soiled loads.  Everyone has their own preference when it comes to doing laundry.  An individual will be able to recognize the amount of detergent they use for each load and only they will be able to determine a more accurate load counting according to their individual standards.
